On September 4, 1995, the United Nations held the Fourth World Conference on Women, popularly referred to as the Beijing 1995 Conference.
This conference was a landmark event in the global effort to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.
It brought together thousands of delegates, including representatives from 189 governments, as well as numerous non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and activists from around the world.
Next year will mark 30 years since the Beijing Conference, and we are not close to achieving the goal of the Beijing 1995 conference.
For nearly 30 years,
we’ve waited to achieve the promises made at the historic Beijing 1995 Conference, where the world committed to having at least 30% of leadership roles filled by women by now.
But let’s be honest—we’re far from that goal, and it’s even worse for women in Africa.
Hundreds of leadership conferences have been held across the continent, with too much talk and far too little action.
The 2024 Audacity Conference isn’t just another women’s leadership event.
It’s a movement, a hands-on mentorship program where Africa’s future female leaders connect with the continent’s top women in leadership.
This is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be mentored by powerhouses like the Kenya G7 governors, women who are closing the gender leadership gap in one of Africa’s most progressive countries.
We’re doing things differently this time.
it’s not just about talking anymore; it’s about doing.
For four transformative days, from November 28th – 30th, 2024 you will work directly with women who have successfully navigated the challenges…
You face and who are breaking barriers across politics, business, and community leadership.
We’ve partnered with the Kenya G7 governors, the women who are reshaping Kenya’s political landscape, proving that women can lead equally alongside men.
They’ve built the blueprint for inclusive governance—and now they’re ready to pass the torch to you.
We’re moving beyond the typical conference format of speeches and panels.

We chose Kenya as the host country for this year’s conference because of the remarkable strides it has made in recent years regarding women’s empowerment. Kenya has become a beacon of progress in gender equality, reflected in its significant achievements:
Kenya has made substantial progress in increasing the representation of women in political positions. The country has implemented policies and initiatives that have seen more women taking up leadership roles at various levels of government.
Numerous programs in Kenya have been aimed at improving the economic status of women, providing them with the resources and support needed to become successful entrepreneurs and business leaders.
Kenya has been at the forefront of promoting education for girls and women, ensuring that they have equal opportunities to pursue their academic and professional goals.
The Kenyan government has enacted laws and policies that protect women's rights and promote gender equality, setting an example for other African nations.
We believe that hosting the conference in Kenya will allow us to learn from their successes and apply these lessons across the continent.
